When am I charged for a lesson?
Payment is usually collected at booking on TeachMe.To. If you’re on a First-Lesson-Free subscription, you’ll be charged only after you complete your first lesson.
TeachMe.To aims to keep payments simple and transparent so you always know when you’ll be charged for a lesson or subscription.
How you’re charged depends on whether you book a standard lesson or use the First Lesson Free subscription.
Standard Bookings: Charged at Time of Booking
For most lessons on TeachMe.To (single lessons, packs, or non-FLF bookings):
- Payment is collected at the time of booking
- Your card or selected payment method (card, Google Pay, Link, CashApp, or gift card) is charged when you confirm the lesson
- You’ll receive an email receipt right after the charge is processed
This applies to:
- One-off lessons
- Multi-lesson packs
- Most non-trial bookings
First Lesson Free: Charged After Your First Lesson
If you sign up for a First-Lesson-Free subscription:
- You do not pay upfront for the first lesson
- Your first session is treated as a free trial lesson
- Your subscription is charged after you complete that first lesson, unless you cancel within the allowed window
In practice, this means:
- You book and attend your first lesson at $0 upfront
- If you’re happy and continue, your subscription activates and your first billing cycle is charged automatically
- If you cancel within the stated timeframe after your free lesson, you won’t be charged for the subscription
