How do refunds and credits work?

Learn how refunds and lesson credits work on TeachMe.To. Review policies for single lessons, packs, subscriptions, and credit validity, plus what to do if a charge is missing.

TeachMe.To offers refunds and lesson credits depending on the type of purchase and how soon you request a change. This guide explains refund rules for single lessons, multi-lesson packs, and subscriptions, as well as how lesson credits work.

Refunds for Single Lessons & Lesson Packs

Within 24 Hours of Purchase

You are eligible for a full refund if:

  • Your lesson is not scheduled within the next 24 hours, and
  • You request the refund within the 24-hour window

This applies to both single lessons and multi-lesson packs.


After 24 Hours of Purchase

If you request a refund more than 24 hours after purchase, and at least 24 hours before your scheduled lesson:

  • Your purchase converts to lesson credit
  • No cash refund is issued

Credits can be used later with any coach.


After Your Lesson Occurs

Refunds after a completed lesson are only available for:

First-lesson quality issues, reported within 24 hours

If your coach cancels or the session cannot be completed due to issues outside your control, you may be offered credit or alternate compensation through Support.


Refunds for Subscriptions (Without a Free Lesson)

Within 24 Hours of Purchase

You are eligible for a full refund if:

  • You request it within 24 hours, and
  • Your lesson is not scheduled within the next 24 hours

After 24 Hours of Purchase

If you request cancellation after 24 hours, but 24+ hours before a scheduled lesson:

  • Your remaining lesson converts to lesson credit
  • Subscription payments are not refunded in cash

After Your Lesson

Refunds only apply to:

Lesson quality issues, reported within 24 hours

Anything beyond that window is not eligible for refund or credit.


Past Renewals Cannot Be Refunded

Subscription cancellations take effect on your next renewal date.

Charges from previous billing cycles cannot be refunded.


How Lesson Credits Work

Lesson credits issued by TeachMe.To follow a clear set of rules:

✔ Valid for 12 months

Credits expire one year from the date they were issued.

✔ Can be used with any Coach or skill

Credits are flexible — use them for any activity taught on TeachMe.To.

✔ Non-refundable

Credits cannot be converted back into cash.

✔ Can be shared or gifted

You can transfer or gift credits to friends or family.


Failed or Missing Stripe Charges

If you believe a charge is missing or failed to process, Support may ask for verifying information to help locate the transaction:

  • Last 4 digits of the card used
  • Email address associated with the payment
  • A screenshot of the bank or app transaction

This helps us confirm the charge and resolve any billing issues.
