Anti-Discrimination & Anti-Harassment Policy

TeachMe.To prohibits all forms of discrimination, harassment, and abusive conduct. Learn what behavior is not allowed and what actions the platform may take.

TeachMe.To is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all Students and Coaches. Discrimination, harassment, abusive behavior, or inappropriate content is strictly prohibited on the platform.

This policy is reinforced by the TeachMe.To Terms of Service, including §§5.8.1–5.8.3, §13.1, and enforcement sections §§15, 23–25.


1. Zero Tolerance for Discrimination

Discriminatory conduct or language is not allowed on TeachMe.To.

Users may not treat others unfairly on the basis of:

  • Race
  • Gender
  • Sex
  • Sexual orientation
  • Gender identity
  • Religion
  • Nationality
  • Disability
  • Age
  • Or any other protected characteristic

This applies to all communication on the platform, including messages, profiles, reviews, lesson interactions, and in-person meetings.


2. No Harassment or Abusive Behavior

TeachMe.To prohibits any behavior that is:

  • Harassing
  • Threatening
  • Intimidating
  • Bullying
  • Abusive
  • Degrading or hostile

Harassment can be verbal, physical, visual, or digital.

This includes any pattern of conduct that makes another user feel unsafe, pressured, or uncomfortable.


3. Prohibited Content (Terms §13.1)

Users may not post, upload, message, or communicate content that is:

  • Deceptive or fraudulent
  • Defamatory or misleading
  • Indecent or obscene
  • Threatening or violent
  • Sexually explicit or suggestive
  • Harassing or discriminatory
  • Harmful or otherwise objectionable

This includes nudity, sexual comments, hate speech, and other forms of prohibited material.


4. Additional Rules for Coaches (Terms §§5.8.1–5.8.3)

Because Coaches hold a position of authority and work with Students in person, they must maintain especially high standards of professionalism. Coaches must:

  • Avoid any suggestive, sexual, or inappropriate comments or behavior
  • Never engage in flirtatious, romantic, or sexual conduct with Students
  • Avoid unsolicited physical contact; obtain clear consent for any necessary instructional touch
  • Respect all emotional, physical, and personal boundaries
  • Maintain strictly professional communication on and off the platform

Any behavior that could be interpreted as harassing or inappropriate is prohibited.


5. Consequences for Violations

TeachMe.To may take action when discriminatory, harassing, or abusive conduct is reported or identified. Possible actions include:

  • Temporary account suspension
  • Removal from search or marketplace listings
  • Cancellation of upcoming lessons
  • Permanent account removal
  • Investigation or escalation consistent with Terms §§15, 23–25

TeachMe.To evaluates each case based on severity, safety concerns, incident history, and Terms compliance.


6. Reporting Discrimination or Harassment

If you experience or witness inappropriate behavior:

  • Refer to our How to Report Inappropriate Behavior guide
  • Contact Support via the TeachMe.To app
  • For emergencies, contact local authorities first

TeachMe.To takes reports seriously and may take action to protect users and uphold platform standards.
